Uritsky rocks is one of the most picturesque sites in the Ukrainian Carpathians, located in the National Park "Skole Beskids". Rocks are formed of sandstones and are up to 75 m (246 ft) high. Some sandstones are in the form of large monoliths, others – in the form of randomly piled boulders. There are many niches, cracks are man-made caves.
Since pagan times petroglyphs are preserved on the rocks. From IX-XII centuries – the ruins of a mighty rock castle (once this area was a customs point). Today here is the State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Tustan".
